Raz and Igor Orlov carry an 11-2 rout of Sticks N Bones

Every game of the night was 6s, all of it real hockey. The Boogeymen won three and lost two. That is a fair split on paper, but one game stood well above the rest, and it gets the first word.

The 11-2 win over Sticks N Bones was the most goals the club has scored in a 6s game this season. Raz scored 5 goals in it, against a 6s average of 1.3. Igor Orlov had 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points. His 6s average is 2.6 points, so this was a forward working far above his usual line.

The help came from the back end. Erb had 4 assists against Sticks N Bones. He then put up 5 points in the 5-1 win over The Glazerzz, again well above his norm as a defenceman. Joey Flopfish set up 3 goals in the big win as well.

Raz has now scored in 9 straight games. Silky reached 200 assists this title, and a total like that is built over the long haul. The 3-0 win over Longshots ended early.

The two losses are the other half of the evidence. Mums special toy beat the Boogeymen 3-1 to open the night, after a first period that went 2-0 the wrong way. Victoria Cougars beat the Boogeymen 6-3 to close it and out-shot the club for the first time in 5 games. Jonas Wagner stopped 14 of 20 shots in that game, a meltdown at 70%.

Joey Flopfish's goal drought has reached 9 games. He set up 3 goals from defence in the big win, and that one game, at least, showed him still in the scoring.

My verdict is firm. The rout of Sticks N Bones is the game this night will be remembered for, and the club earned it with 28 shots, an unusually high total. Three wins in real hockey is a good night. The 20 shots Victoria Cougars put on net were an unusually high total too, and that is the number I would not shrug off.
