The loss to Kyoto Kamikazes is the one to read closely. The Boogeymen put 30 shots on net, unusually high, and still lost 4-3 in an upset. Jonas Wagner stopped 15 of the 19 shots he faced, a 78.9% save percentage. The volume was there, and the saves at the other end were not. In a one-goal game, that save percentage was the difference.
Across all the games the club out-shot its opponents 166 to 89. It outscored them 34 to 14. Against Gooper Troopers the Boogeymen were out-shot for the first time in 13 games. The count was 16 to 15, a normal volume at both ends. Gooper Troopers won that one 5-1, so the shots alone do not explain the score.
Volume is the structure under this club. Six wins say it holds up. The two losses say it does not settle every game by itself.
