Silky's hat trick, a 6s career high, carries a close win

Beev adds 4 points in a 5-4 win over LES SPORTIFS DU DIMANCHE.

Silky scored 3 goals on 12 shots, both career highs in 6s. The Boogeymen beat LES SPORTIFS DU DIMANCHE 5-4. It was the 5th win of the night, and the record moves to 83-19-9.

Silky gets the credit first. He scored three goals, a career high in 6s. His 6s average as a forward is 0.8 goals. He also took 12 shots, another career high in 6s, and added an assist for 4 points. Nothing about that line is cheap.

Beev was the other half of it. He scored two goals and set up two more. His 4 points came against a 6s average of 1.8. His 7 shots were a season high in 6s. Joey Flopfish took 3 shots, big for a defenceman with a 6s average of 0.9.

The team numbers back it up. The club put 28 shots on net, an unusually high count. It also took 42 hits against, another unusually high count, so this was not heavy hockey from the Boogeymen; the weight came from the other side. At the other end, Jonas Wagner stopped 12 of 16 shots for a 75% save percentage. The power play scored once in 6 chances.

A 6s win where the shooters kept shooting through 42 hits against is an honest one. Silky and Beev scored all five goals between them, and they took 19 shots between them to do it. This one was earned the hard way, and the credit goes to those two first.

Lyle Bergstrom is made up. The scores and stats come from the real games.
