This one ran long. The Boogeymen played nine games and won seven of them. Every one of them was 3s, and I weigh shinny lighter than the real thing. Even so, there is no arguing with what Silky put up.
The night opened with a 5-0 win over Upper in a game that ended early.
Then came two losses. Lafette won 5-4, even with Beev scoring a hat trick, his first of the season. Disha Magicians won 4-2. In both games the AI goalie had a meltdown, and in both the club was out-shot.
After that, the Boogeymen won six straight, and the scoring got heavy. Silky had 7 points against Rogerrrrr, a career high in 3s at the time. Against Tres Migos he scored 5 goals in a 7-1 win. Against Paws he scored 7 goals and had 9 points. The final there was 9-2. Both were career highs in 3s. Against Wet Milkmen he scored 6 more and had 10 points, another career high in 3s. That 10-1 final was the biggest 3s win of the season.
Silky has now scored in 9 straight games. He also reached 100 assists this title during the run.
Joey Flopfish was right there with him. He had 9 points against Wet Milkmen, a career high in 3s of his own. He scored 4 goals against Vancougers in the 6-3 win that closed the night. He reached 100 assists this title. He also reached 50 goals this title.
Across the night the Boogeymen scored 53 goals and allowed 21. They out-shot the opposition 121 to 91. Those are totals a fair man has to respect, whatever the format.
My verdict is plain. A forward who scores 7 goals in one game and 6 in the next has earned every word written about him. Six straight wins after two losses was an honest answer on the night, shinny or not.
Lyle Bergstrom is made up. The scores and stats come from the real games.
