Two games, two wins, and a milestone on the board. The Boogeymen swept the night. They beat Kinngait Nanuks 3-2 in the opener. Then they beat Missionary Men 4-3, and neither game was ever comfortable on the scoreboard.
Here is the swing. Against Kinngait Nanuks, the Boogeymen had 752 seconds of attack time, an unusually high total. Against Missionary Men, that fell to 391 seconds, unusually low, and the club was out-shot for the first time in 4 games. Pass completion dropped to 62.2%, also unusually low. Missionary Men put 20 shots on Matteo Lehmann, and he stopped 17 of them for 85%. That is a heat check, and the Boogeymen passed it.
Igor Orlov scored at 14:42 of the 3rd in that second game. An opponent answered at 19:44 of the 3rd, and that was the last goal of the night. Close, loud, and still a win.
Now the hero, and it is Erb. Against Kinngait Nanuks he had 1 goal and 2 assists on 5 shots. Against Missionary Men he did it again with 1 goal and 2 assists. His 6s average as a defenceman is 1.4 points a game. Both games sit way above that line, and both were big for him by his own standard.
Then there is Igor Orlov. He scored in the opener and started the second game 1 goal from 100. He scored twice against Missionary Men. Igor Orlov reached 100 goals this title in that game, and that number deserves the top of the marquee.
Silky did some heavy lifting too, with 7 hits against Missionary Men, big for him.
Erb at 3 points a game, Igor Orlov at 100 goals, and a win streak at 3. The Boogeymen are 47-15-6. Write this one down as a sweep and turn the volume up.
